Just a tad bit scared! Bleeding and stool mentioned
OK... here goes... This is actually quite embarrassing for me to talk about but I need some imput.
I've had severe abdominal pain for the past week... going into my back , rectum, and vagina... I went to the ER last Friday... they did blood work urinalysis... and both vag and abd US... Found nothing.
OK.. I'm on Dilaudid 2 mg q 4 hrs... It does help the pain trmendously..
BTW.. I had A tvh on 10-14-09...
NOw I cannot for the life of me have a bowel movement! I've tried stool softeners, Milk of Magnesia... even though it's against my Drs wishes, and nothing...
Well... last night I was pushing so hard I felt like I was gonna pass out. afterwards I noticed bright red blood on my pantyliner... and get this... stool on my panty liner too... coming from my vajayjay..
I have no urge to have a bowel movement at all... it's been about 5 days now... have no appetite to speak of... just a low grade fever of 99.0 or so...
Now my DH has not been the most supportive thru all this... mentioning constantly on how we have no money... etc...
I just would like some feedback... has anything like this happened to anyone else?
Thanks so much ladies!

I know you have to wait for your husband but did you call the dr. office yet? Please keep us posted about what they say. I am sorry this is happening to you. You probably feel helpless right now, maybe hubby can get home early if you tell him the details or a neighbor can take you.

Re: Just a tad bit scared! Bleeding and stool mentioned
For some reason I remember reading a post about this once. Go on the right side of your screen where it says google search and type in stool coming out vagina or something like that and see what comes up. I did already and a bunch of things came up but i have to leave the house. i will ck back with in a a couple of hours. In the meantime before you do any more searching call your Dr. office. Even if you cannot be seen until tonite at least they are aware of your siuation and possibly ease your mind.

Yes, there can be something I believe is called a fistula, an opening between the rectum and vagina that was created during surgery accidentally. You need to at least call your doctor NOW. It is very important. If he tells you to go to the ER or to him, then find a friend or family member or call an ambulance. Period.
Let us know what happens by posting to this thread.
Take care,

You definitely need to call your Dr. With a low-grade fever and feces coming out of your vagina it is important they know this. The term everyone is looking for is a recto-vaginal fistula.
Sending big

Re: Just a tad bit scared! Bleeding and stool mentioned
The only thing I'm afraid about is what if I accidfentally Wiped when I had my last BM and got some stool in my vaginga... How embarrassing... I have had the most DIFFICULT time the past 4-5 days having a BM though! Even when I put a finger inside my rectum to help "guide" the stool out... I can't even feel an y there?
Is this a sign of a prolapse? I'm so sc ared and my doc's office is closed..,. I know they will send me to the ER.., I just want to hang in there until dh gets home... It will be fun making him take me "again"... he acts like I'm just a "pain in the ***" to deal with and I know he thinks I should be feelin g better especilly since I'm 4 weeks out... He can't see anything wrong on the outside... so there MUST be notrhing wrong on the inside... I'm sorry for venting... but I just feel like me whole family thinks I'm just a big baby.

Well on the wiping part in order to avoid infection you should be wiping "front to back" so feces shouldn't end up in your vagina. I have heard of people feeling a rectocele or rectal prolapse by feeling / seeing it via the back of the vaginal wall but not by "guiding" it out via the rectum so can't help you on that one at all. Normal BMs can range for a few days for different people but if this isn't normal for you it is a call for the doctor, however you did say you have no appetite so maybe there isn't anything there??? I don't know how much you've eaten.
You need to talk to your Dr. they have heard and seen all sorts of things so don't be embarrassed.
G.
