Ovarian Cyst 6 weeks post op???

I had my surgery... uterus removed only, on October 5 of this year, that puts me at 6 weeks post op this Monday. I have a lot of pain in my lower left abdomin now and a bit of bleeding too. How soon can you get a painful cyst after surgery or can you even get one. This pain is horrible like it was before when i had cysts.

Re: Ovarian Cyst 6 weeks post op???

Hi (((MrsJ.R.Jones)))

Since you still have your ovaries, you certainly can have the same ovarian pain that you had before surgery. I noticed in you profile that you still have your cervix. Is this a period for you, perhaps? There is the possibility that this is post op pain from cyst removal as well. If your cysts came and went with your cycle though, they may continue to do the same. Have you had the chance to discuss this with your doctor? Perhaps they will have some solutions for you. Hope you get some answers soon! All the best to you!

Re: Ovarian Cyst 6 weeks post op???

I had a cyst at 3 weeks post op, so it's definitely possible. Mine was confirmed by ultrasound, but by the time I went back to the doctor, it had ruptured, so nothing else was done except pain meds.

Can you get in to see your doctor? Maybe they can give you something for the pain.

I get the cysts on my ovaries still too. They are always little & go away but they hurt. So, yes you can still get them. Maybe you are having the mini period since you still have your cervix? I hope you are feeling better soon.
