pain under pubic bone

Has anyone experienced pain under their pubic bone? I am currenlty feeling a sharp pain. Not too sharp, but enough to cause a little concern. I had a TAH on 11/3.

Re: pain under pubic bone

I had my surgery on 11/6 and I woke up with this same pain today..it seems to be worse on the right side down into my thigh almost..I have been trying an ice pack. I have a follow up visit with the doctor tomorrow and I plan on putting this on my list to ask him...

Yes, I have had pain under my pubic bone and it ended up being my bladder I was feeling. Don't hesitate to check with your doctor about what might be causing this symptom for you!

Re: pain under pubic bone

I had my TAH done on 10/28. I had my two week check up last Wednesday. I told the doctor I was doing fine. I had been out walking every day and had only taken pain meds for three days. Things were going great.
I went to the doctor today for the pain you are describing. It is sharp and is definitely on the inside. It feels like something is tearing. I'm going for a pelvic ultra sound tomorrow. I really feel like I've been taking backwards steps since my appointment last week. I haven't done any walking. It just hurts.

Keep me posted on what your doctor says, please...I hope it is nothing serious.

Re: pain under pubic bone

Me too! Sometimes it is so bad it seems like the bone is going to crack. And it extends down to the right. I am very anxious to hear if anyone actually gets an answer to this pain. My doctor is out on vacation this week.

Re: pain under pubic bone

I had the ultrasound today. Why is it that they tell you to have a full bladder and then make you wait an hour past your appointment time??? That always happens to me.
Anyway, the ultrasound tech didn't really see much other than some cysts on my ovaries. She said one of them may have burst. The doctor is supposed to call me tomorrow and possibly schedule a CT scan. I guess if the cysts had been bad enough the doctor would have taken them out with the surgery. The pain is better today, thank god, because it had gotten really unbearable.

Re: pain under pubic bone

I went to the Dr. today for my two week follow up visit. I mentioned the pain and that it goes down into the top of thigh. He didn't even seem concerned about it said oh it's most likely muscle pain. The thing that scared me is I had a blood clot in Jan at the top of my thigh so pain in that area scares me. Anyway he didn't think anything of it so
I guess it's part of recovery etc.. Hope everyone is doing well....
