How are the JUNE ladies doing out there??

Thought I would pop in here to see how other 'June' sisters are doing now.
I seem to be feeling better as each week goes by, but still have the dull achey pains almost everyday. My lower abs seem to get bloaty at the end of each day.
I know it takes months & months to be completely healed...and if I continue to feel better each week....then, I can't wait to be completely healed & feeling even better then I do now!!! because I can honestly say (even with the twinges & bloating) that I haven't felt this good in YEARS!!!
any other 'June' ladies feel the same way??
or....any other later ladies?

I'm a June sister too. I'm pretty much back to normal, I don't get swelly belly anymore and do pretty much everything I was doing before surgery. But I do still get the occassional twinge if I bend or lift the wrong way. I feel SO GOOD! Isn't it amazing? No pain, no calling in sick, no blood everywhere. I can do what I want and go out whenever I want! I wish I had done this years ago, I feel so free. Everyone should have one!

I'm glad you asked...

This recovery process is so slow, I need to be reminded of how far I've come! I'm feeling so much better now. I know that I'm still not back fully to normal, but I at least don't come home from work and just flop anymore. I can do errands at lunch or after work now and my sleeping has improved. I think my hormones are finally leveling out. Since surgery I lost about two sizes and can now bend over, touch my toes and dance!!! I still have some bad days, when I have no energy and tummy swells and zings, but gets better each week.

June Sister

Hey everyone glad to hear from you all. I am much better still have swelly belly and water, but it is getting better. I have gained back a few pounds and intend to go back down starting tomorrow. I have not felt so good though in the last 40 years. Like the other sisters everyone should have one. to everyone of us that wanted this wonderful surgery.

I'm a June princess too. Doing pretty good. Still have a pesky pain that I'm going to see the dr about just to make sure it is nothing. When I try to do my walking exercize, or do a lot of my normal activities it hurts. The other day, I rolled over in bed and I had a major burning pain on the right side. Other than that its great. No periods ever 2-3 weeks for 10 days at a time. I still have to buy pads since I have 5 girls and they all get their periods. It's hard to believe that it has been over 4 months since my last period.
SHoward, we are twins, both on June 1, 2001.
So glad to hear everyone is doing so good.

How are the JUNE ladies doing out there??

Hey June 1 sister! I wanted to throw out all the "Feminine supplies" but I have 2 teenage daughters. The other night at the restaurant where I work someone needed a tampon. I handed her my pocketbook and said "Here. Lucky for you I never clean this thing out!"

I am so glad I will never need to carry around a boxload of that stuff again!

How are the JUNE ladies doing out there??

I am also a June princess and I am feeling better all
the time. I can now walk several blocks without having to
find a ladies room. With a very enlarged uterus pressing on the
bladder and bowel, I had to know where a bathroom was at all times. That is the worst feling in the whole world. But all that is
behind me now and I wonder why it took me so long to
have this done. I should have had this surgery 3 or 4 years
earlier!

I still get bloating at times and if I lift something too heavy
my belly lets me know that I made an error in judgement.
We have resumed intimacy, but very slowly and gently for
right now.

Here is to continued improvement each week!!

Hi ladies:

I had my TAH/BSO on 6/28/01. Feeling OK except still tired and still get swelly belly at night. Other than that, I feel better than I have in years.

I'm a June I'm feeling pretty good too. Wearing white & loving it I still have a swelly belly, but I also need to lose 20 lbs...so I'm sure that would take care of some of that.
my only complaint is back pain, but that is probuley because I've started work at a day care & need to get in shape.
My night time sleeping is much better now too. All in all, I feel great & don't miss the good old uterus
