Pain lower right abdomen

Hi Ladies,

I am 6 weeks post TAD and doing great,
however I am still experiencing a pain in in lower right abdomen. This is the very area which hurt the most after I awoke from surgery and in the days immediately after. Since I've been up and around, it really hasn't bothered me except for the occassional " I'm been in the same position for too long." Yesterday though, It was really bothering me most of the day and today as well. Have any of you had a similar localized pain on the right? Can you get a hernia from the surgery? or is this just normal healing twinges? Thoughts?

Re: Pain lower right abdomen

I am almost 5 weeks out and I have had more pain on my left side but that is the side that had the most endo on it and that hurt me so bad before the surgery so I am just chalking it up to maybe he had to drain more cysts and burn more endo off that side than my right.

Re: Pain lower right abdomen

I am 3 weeks post op TAH kept ovaries i experienced burning tearing pain on right side groin pelvic area can only get out of bed by draging myself up by elbows pushing myself up so butt is off mattress then turnind legs to side of bed pain isn"t as bad as first week when the screams came from the pitt of my stomach my poor son was woken at 5:45 am thought my stitches had split and stomach fell out poor kid was so scared couldn't got to school scared me too. When i went to gp to have waterproof dressing removed he witnessed the dreaded event and said there is some pain but had never seen anyone react like that but didn't give any reason as to why just suggested that if it continues contact consulting rooms.
