Viginal, groin, and pelvic pain after surgery

Hi everyone. I am just dropping in again to check and see if anyone has had any solutions to their pelvic, vaginal, and groin pain. My first surgery was in May of 08 and the pain never went away. A different doctor treated me and I did biofeedback with the stem unit in the vagina which helps a little. and then I had some strange acupunture done. It reduced the pain enough that the pain pills worked and I didn't have to take pills for my bladder anymore. However it wore off after 3 months so I have to go back for a second session. I had my ovaries removed in February of 09 which helped a great deal of the pelvic pain. He found lots of adhesions. I just want this pain to go away. I even have problems passing gas. Dr. says it is the same nerve.
So the diagnosis is chronic plevic pain, and left sided levator myalgia. can't sit can't walk without pain.
thank you ahead of time.

You might help with a doctor who specializes in treating women with chronic pelvic pain rather than a typical OB/GYN. I found relief when I saw such a doctor!

Re: Viginal, groin, and pelvic pain after surgery

My doctor is Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Specialist.

Not all doctors who deal with chronic pelvic pain have a title besides gynecologist or urogynecologist. You might try a web search for your area + pelvic pain to see if any names turn up. Or, call area hospitals and ask if their are any doctors on staff who primarily treat women with chronic pelvic pain. A pain management doctor may be able to help you manage the pain and find a specialist who can help you. Pelvicpain.org might have some direction and you can check for doctors at www.suggestadoctor.com.

Generally speaking, a doctor who deals with pelvic pain issues will not advertise that s/he also does obstetrics. In fact, my specialist specifically states that he does not deliver babies.

Wishing you the best!

Thank you. I will start looking. The dr. I see now does not deliver, and he deals with bladder issues the most. He also gave me the stem and acupuncture. Which helps but I am searching to get rid of it so I can get off the pain pills.
I will let you know what I find.
