symptom variables

do you think it matters as to they type of hysto you have had for symptoms and I know recovery but does it also depend on age, past pain(which I;m in constant and indegistion..bleeding) I'm exhausted all the time my period was supose to start a week ago...didn't was early felt like giving birth went to emergency-still bleeding after it finally started last week.. would love to have sex with my husband but the blood and the smell-how can the smell be worse after surgery. I'm so frustrated-I've been a witch with a b as my daughter would say. I just want it over. but really recovery does it matter with attitude and expectation maybe. pain is constant...nagging stabbing left side. just venting I guess. I have so much to do to get ready. its not like me to leave the laundry or not vaccuum. but I don't care. can it be over.

Re: symptom variables

Hi holly4069

It sounds like you're in so much pain right now. Before my surgery, I was in pain every day, and it took such a toll on me.

There are lots of factors involved in surgery type and recovery. Here's what I found, though: the post-surgery pain of healing was so much better than the debilitating pain I'd begun to experience on a regular basis. I'm just over 10 months post-op, and I no longer have to deal with any of that pain. I can do housework, I can enjoy sex, and I wonder how I ever managed to deal with my pre-op pain.

I did almost no preparations before my surgery due to my pain, and everything turned out just fine.

Take care of yourself now as much as you can. Your surgery will be here before you know it, and you'll be moving on to healing soon.
