Angry - Had endo, LAVH, no HRT, now in pain again... endo CAN come back, right? Had endo, LAVH, no HRT, now in pain again... endo CAN come back, right?

Hey there to all my fellow sisters. I am 1.5yrs post-LAVH. Started having pelvic pain and nausea about 2wks ago and it's getting worse. Had all the usual tests in the ER and was told to see GYN. GYN says that I don't have anything left and I'm not on hormones, so it couldn't be endo. Now, left in limbo and with Percocets and Phenergan AGAIN. Endo can come back under these circumstances, right? Am I losing my mind? Please respond, my sisters

Love,
Jennifer

It is possible for any of us to experience endometriosis recurrence, even post hysterectomy, post oophorectomy, and without hormones.

However, there could be something else going on so it is a good idea to rule out any other conditions since typically endometriosis and/or adhesions aren't going to show up on any test.

If you are not already doing so, keep a symptom diary to take with you to your next doctor's appointment. If your GYN is not helping you, go back to your GP. Your GP can start ruling out some conditions and also refer you to doctors who can help you.

Whatever you do, don't give up!

I'm sorry you are in pain, I am also. Mine came back, had lap after 17 months for unexplained pain, and the endo was all over again. Even though I had my ovaries out, and no HRT, it still came back. All I got from my doctor was a shrug, he couldn't explain, and he couldn't tell me it wouldn't do it again. I have a new doctor now, but she is also doubtful about coming back, but I feell strongly it has.
