Should I be seeing better results?

I'm so exhausted this morning. I may as well not have gone to sleep last night. I was having one hot flash after another. Thank God I brought the ice pack with me to bed last night to help cool me down quicker.

Any suggestions to those who have been through this. After 4 days should I be seeing better results? Is this odd when I am applying the estrogel at 10pm?

It has taken me almost a week before the hot flashes have calmed down. I don't apply the estrogel that late at night. I've been using it about 3pm in the afternoon. I find that within a few hours of applying it I have more energy that gets me through the rest of the day and by 10pm. I am ready for bed and sleep through the night.
Be patient, give it some more time and I would suggest changing the time when you apply it to earlier in the day.

I usually apply mine around 8 am and 8 pm. It seems to help alot. I am not having hot flashes/night sweats at all. It has helped also with the moody/anxiety issues I was having. I have been sleeping all night since going to 2 pumps a day. I started out at half a pump a day and was having some sleep problems/anxiety all day.

Re: Should I be seeing better results?

Thanks so much for your response. I applied the estrogel this morning and found that I felt like I had lots of energy today and only a couple hot flashes so far. Can't wait to see how tonight goes

4 days is not a fair trial. It can be weeks, even months before your body adjusts to the change in hrt. Keeping a journal can be helpful in determining if things are really getting better or worse over time. Be patient and give it some time.

Should I be seeing better results?

Sweetheartsok:
How is the Estrogel working now that it has been a couple of days?

I'm considering trying it as my doctor didn't love the idea of me using the estrace vaginally

Should I be seeing better results?

I was applying in the evenings and it was helping throughout the day but not the flashes at night. I can't call them night sweats cause I don't sweat I just have a flash of intense heat. Today I applied in the morning so I will post in a couple days if this is better for me. I noticed I felt more energetic today, still had a few flashes but nothing major but I was pretty emotional and on edge this evening. I'm sure it will take time to get the full effects. I'll keep posting for you all.
