eek! I go in for surgery in 7 days now!

It is hard to believe things are going to happen so soon now. As it is, from start to finish, this has been the fastest surgery work-up, like, ever, that wasn't an emergency for me. Just six weeks ago, I got the news that I might be having this surgery and here we are on the verge of it.

I'm not really nervous about the surgery itself; mostly the aftermath. I need to find that list on here (again) of all the stuff I should stock up with and get going on obtaining it all.

Oh, the best part? My husband went today and signed himself up for sinus/nasal surgery on the 17th because he has health benefits that run out by the end of the year. He wants me to drive him to the outpatient surgery center and sit and wait for him and all that. I'm going to be 8 days post-op at that point. I won't be driving anywhere. Why do men do this?????

My poor mom is going to have to take care of us both when she gets here on the 20th. That's a lot to ask a 75 yr old to do. At least I know she's a good cook and a good caregiver. She's a retired Labor & Delivery nurse so we'll be in good hands.

I am SOOOO not looking forward to the bowel prep thing. Just not looking forward to it. *laugh*

Oh man, when the doctor said "no sex for 8 full weeks", judging from the look on my hubby's face, you'd have thought his best friend and his dog died at the same time. I swear, I practically heard him whimper.
