Anyone else have sore collarbone?!
My collarbones feel as though they are bruised, but the don't look it, and my ribs too. What *do* they do to you when you're asleep?!

Depending on the kind of surgery you had, sometimes they "tip" the table that you are laying on to get some of the other organs out of the way.

Re: Anyone else have sore collarbone?!
When I had a laparoscopy some years ago, the inflated me with gas to see better. As the gas moved it's way out of my body, I felt beaten and bruised in whatever area the gas had worked it's way up to. Talk to your dr., but that could be a possibility.

Re: Anyone else have sore collarbone?!
My doc. said they had me practically upside down on the table and that's why my shoulders were so sore.

Re: Anyone else have sore collarbone?!
Actually, while I was in the hospital my shoulders & collarbone hurt worse than my belly. The nurse said (for me anyway) it was the gas going up in my body from the surgery. By the time I went home from hospital (stayed 24hrs in hospital) I was starting to hurt less, but it took several days for completely disappear.
This is just my experience, hope it helps you some. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
