"missing parts" - dealing with men!

Ok. So I had my ovaries out because of a nasty little tumor, and some endo, and some twisting, and some adhesions, and some cysts. I'm ok with it. I actually feel like a woman again and not a bloated alien being tortured by pain!

Does ANYONE have any experience with the DH or the DBF getting wierd about "missing parts"? And how to help the dear men deal with it?

I'm not dating anyone right now, but judging from my guy friend's reactions (not the best), I'm allitle nervous about how to men will react to 1. I can't have children, and 2. I'm "missing parts" as my best friend (who's male) puts it, and 3. I'm happy about it. I feel like I have my life back.

It's the "missing parts" issue that all 3 get kind of queasy over - and no, they have NO details. Just "the doctors found something bad. He had to take out my ovaries to fix it. There's no long term issues, just have to recover from the surgery."

I'm only 30 and still have an active social life. I'd like to date seriously again without feeling like I have to hide one small detail.

Any advice, ladies?

Re: "missing parts" - dealing with men!

Soooo....you just had your ovaries out and not your uterus? I guess I'm kinda confused....

And to hell with what the men think. If they get weirded out that is their issue to deal with - not your responsibility. You shouldn't have to hide anything. If they aren't OK with it then they aren't worth being around.
