Re: Pelvic exams?
There is no simple yes or no answer to your question! Each doctor will have his/her own opinion! Some will say that a pelvic exam is still a good idea to keep an eye on any changes in the vagina and on the vaginal cuff. Others will say that pelvic exam is not needed. Also, some will say no pap (or vaginal vault smear as it would be called) is needed, and some will say it is a good idea! Some of it depends on your diagnosis, too.
I have two GYNs and one still thinks a yearly pap/vaginal vault smear is a good idea, one does not! So, I have a pelvic every year (I still have my ovaries so they need checked) and I have a pap/vaginal vault smear about two or three years!
Talk to your doctor(s) about what is best for you!
