dry skin

This dry skin is driving me up the wall. I have NEVER had dry skin. My face is peeling. Doesn't matter how often I put on lotion nothing helps! I have always had extremely oily skin and I'm talking buckets full of it several times a day. Please tell me I am not alone. I'm taking 1mg estrace a day. Right ovary removed April 07. Left ovary removed at time of hyster Dec 4 09. Thanks.

Re: dry skin

I recall having skin issues for awhile after my hyst. It did get better as I got settled in on my hrt and recovered from surgery. You are still very early post op, it may take some time for things to level out.

Re: dry skin

I also had very oily skin pre-hyster, now I have dry skin-not to bad yet. I am using a face moisturizer (never have before) and using a body oil & lotion after my shower. Using hand lotion all the time ( Aveeno & Gold Bond) also. Body usually gets dry in winter somewhat, but my face was always oily. I am doing ERT, so hopefully it will get better. I to am still in the early stages of adjustment to this new path in my life.
