TVH with eterocoele repair and perineoplasty - scared what might be coming

Hi! Had the above surgery 15 days ago because of uterine prolapse. Love this site and read some everyday! Made the mistake of looking at the Pelvic Floor posts and now I'm really scared of what might come. Does every woman who has a hyst eventually need some kind of other repair - most likely for another prolapse? I told my doc before my surgery that I didn't want to go through this again so fix anything and everything that might need it at some point. Well, she didn't, so now I'm worrying that I will have a bladder falling out or a vaginal vault prolapse or something!! Guess I should just be thankful for my successful surgery for the above mentioned and think positively that I will not need surgery again, but, man,... those pelvic floor posts don't sound too optimistic.

I am glad that you are enjoying the site. Yes, it can be difficult to come across posts where women are having issues. Many are here because of the complications that they have experienced. It is difficult to say what will happen down the road. I hope that your recovery goes smoothly and that you do not have more surgery down the road. If you do some online research, you will probably come across the statistics how many women continue to have issues. If you are lacking confidence in the doctor you have, perhaps a second opinion down the road will help. Take care!
