Endo Specialists in MI

I was diagnosed with endometriosis in August - and have struggled with pain since. My doctor put me on seasonique - which some months is good, and some months is bad. Most recently, I've been in pain for almost 2 weeks now - usually the pain lasts a week at most. My doctor prescribed darvocet for when the pain is really bad - I've only taken it once, since usually the pain is just annoying with spurts of intensity. Since my husband and I don't want to try the Lupron shots - I'm thinking my next option is an endometriosis specialist. Does anyone know of any specialists in Michigan? (Grand Rapids area even?) Thank you...

You might try checking the list at the top of this forum for some possibilities close to your area. You can also check www.suggestadoctor.com. Additionally, call large hospitals in the areas where you are interested in traveling and ask if there is an endometriosis department or maybe a chronic pelvic pain center.

I go to a doc in GR. Although he has suggested Lupron, he did not make me feel bad about my decision to not use Lupon. He also let me keep my ovaries when I had my hysterectomy (I had adnomyosis in addition to endo), even though he wanted to take them then. I ended up going back in a year later to have them removed because I got a large endometrioma, cysts, and adhesions.
