Feels like insides are going to fall out...

Sorry for the lovely title, but it describes my feelings best. Has anyone else experienced this? I feel like my insides are going to fall through my vagina since having the surgery. I told my family doctor today and he had a good chuckle as my description.

I had an oophorectomy and bladder TOT plus an anterior wall repair on Dec. 1st. I find that the longer I'm sitting or standing, the more if feels like everything is going to fall through my vagina. Best thing to do is get into bed -- although I just went back to work today p/t, so I'm not sure what is going to happen. Have you experienced this? How long can it/will it last? Any suggestions to manage it? I take an advil or two when I feel pain, but really I don't need to take much if anything as I have a high pain threshold.

Re: Feels like insides are going to fall out...

I had the same feeling. I had LAVH and TVT on July 8. Mine started about 4 weeks post op, the best thing to do is take it easy. Started to feel better after about 10 weeks post op. Here's the problem though, the feeling has started to come back for me. I had a TVT repair and diagnostic lap on Nov. 3 and dr. found severe adhesions on my ovaries and bowel to my vaginal cuff which he believes is causing the pain. I go in on Jan 26 to get adhesions removed. Take it easy and go see dr. if it doesn't get better after rest. Good luck!
