I have been in pain pain pain since my last daughter turned 2 (she'll be 6 next month) I didn't even know that I had endometriosis. I had bleeding an pain from the time I was 14 until I was 16. I had read that going on BCP could reduce pain and bleeding during your periods, so I went on the pill during a sports physical when I was 16 -- After my last child was born, I had my tubes tied. About 2 years later I started having MAJOR pains during ovulation and menstral cycles. I had a lapo done to see what the issue was and lo and behold I had endometriosis! The lapo worked for a while .. maybe 2 years .. but the last 2 years it has come back. I'm opting for the surgery. I'm excited for it.. and I'm ready to get my life back. I'm only 32, but I'm so ready!!! I'm looking forward to hearing your stories and offering my support as well as receiving some from all of you.

I have been a lurker around here for a bit and just made my first post today l am new also. I just wanted to say that the support I have seen on these boards is amazing. We are definately in the right place.

It's great that you have such a good attitude about all of this. I really do believe that being positive really helps. Once I resigned myself to having it done I put all my negativity aside and am starting to feel excited at the thought of being pain free.
