Funny Story About What Hormones Made Me Do

Heya ladies!

Okay, I just had to share this because it just makes me laugh looking back. I don't know if it will tickle your funny bone or not, but I wanna share it anyway.

I had my hyster Monday and came home on Wednesday. I have been sleeping in the recliner every night because I don't want to lay flat. Last night though, I propped up a bunch of pillows (every one I own except the one I "let" DH use) and slept in my bed.

I was woken around 3am to a crinkly sound and was so out of it I was confused. It took me a few moments and I realized what it was. DH had gotten up and gotten a snack and brought it back to bed with him. It was fruit roll-ups and the crinkling was the packaging.

I looked over at him and just said, incredulously, "Really?"

He had this dumbstruck look on his face and his mouth was mid-chew but stopped. He blinked a few times and before he or I knew what was happening, I had reached over, snatched the wrapper from his hand, and rubbed it, crinkling it, on his cheek. No, I am not kidding.

I then tossed it in the trash can on my side of the bed and readjusted myself like nothing had happened and laid back to go to sleep. He was still sitting there, same expression, same position, for a good solid 10 seconds before he meekly shrunk down and quickly finished his snack.

It wasn't until this morning that I fully realized what I had done, apologized, and then couldn't stop laughing about it. Being a good sport, he laughed too and apologized for being insensitive, adding "I didn't realize it was so loud."

Tortuga,
so... I'm a little over 3 weeks post op; and, just read your post.

My first thought was 'Geeeee! I wish I had a fruit roll-up wrapper that I could rub in someone's face.'

then... I nearly wept; thinking - 'how could she be SO mean?'

and, now; I'm I can't stop laughing as I visualize the whole experience!

Cute! thanks for sharing!!!
