Comparing Pain: Nervous!

I had a laproscopic appendectomy about 6 months ago. I was in major pain for a long while. (Yes I am a bit of a wimp) But it was really really painful.

How will a laproscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo oopherectomy measure up? I've got one coming up in a week...

Will they be close in pain level? Or is there more pain from the larger surgery?

I had the same procedure a week and a half ago. I was off the narcotics within 4 days and am only taking the prescription ibuprophen to control swelling. It may be controlling the pain, but I am relatively pain free. The only pain I have is a little pulling every now an then in my incision and a backache from so much sitting.

I am taking it easy anyway, because I do not want to interfere with the healing or cause any damage that will delay my return to work. Maybe forcing myself to stay on the couch except for a few short excursions has helped me avoid the problems others are having.
