Guess What??????????????
No I'm Not HYPER!
My surgery date just got moved FORWARD!
From December 4th to November 16th! Hello November sisters!!!!
My DH doesn't even know about this yet. I guess this solves a little bit of my Christmas problems because I will be 5 1/2 weeks post instead of just 3...but i still won't push it.
Wow, do I ever feel weird, hyper. All my plans need to be rearanged. All my Christmas shopping plans need to be put on fast forward becasue I now have less time to shop in! haha. Speedy Gonzalas now has a partner.
My DH hopefully can rearrange his holidays for babysitting his dear wife! God I hope so. Oh boy, I think I have alot of work to do now.
Gotta run now,
Love ya, I promise to be calmer when I come back on line!

Guess What??????????????
Meighen:
I know how you feel. My TAH BSO is 10/23. A couple of weeks ago I asked my family to give me some Christmas ideas. After some complaining about it being too early, they finally saw the light in that I have to get it done before.
I am happy to report that except for my husband, I am completely done -- all in one week!!!
My trick, you ask?!?! Gift certificates, the internet, and just alittle running around shopping in one day. Make a list, check it twice, and go for it.
Remember, your famiy will understand if it is not up to your usual standards this year!
I am saving my wrapping for recovery at home. It will give me something to do. But I did remember to check my paper supply and gift box supply.
Best of luck!!!!

Hooray! It's so much better to have the date moved forward than back. As far as Christmas shopping, that's why we have the Internet.
Good luck!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! That's great the sooner the better right?
Christmas Shopping you ladies are after my own heart. I thought I was the only one. I'm scheduled for 10/12 (thats 9 days 9 hours and 39 minutes from right now). I started last week asking for ideas. It took them some time to think about it but most of them gave me something. Except for the perfect Sister-in-law. According to her. I'll be up to going to the malls with her for marathon shopping. You see she had a c-section 15 years ago and dosent think i'm going to need much recover. AHHH she anoys me.
I'm going to go back to work (been out for over a year due to endo pain) so want to be done with shopping before that. Then I wont have both things to exhaust me.

Congrats to you!! That's got to make you feel better (except for the frantic shopping part! LOL) .. I know I'd be happy if I were you! Less time to sit & mull it all over & worry! Now you can take your mind off things by concentrating on shopping .. which isn't a bad thing to have as a distraction!!

Guess What??????????????
Hi,
Just wanted to say not to panic too much about the shopping. I had my LAVH, kept ovaries, on November 9th and I didn't do too bad with the shopping, and I have a big list. I did lots of it on the Internet and through catalogs. You have lots of time sitting and laying around to look through catalogs and then order. Some gifts can even be sent straight to the person, gift wrapped and all. I have to admit, I couldn't decorate like I normally did in years past but the house still looked like Christmas. DH was wonderful in the decorating department.
I went back to work on the 15th of December, worked short days, then caught a cold that everyone was "sharing" the following week so I was off a few more days. Once January came around I was feeling really good. I was glad I had the surgery when I did - I had the rest of the winter to recover and then the spring and summer months were wonderful. I never felt soooo good.
Good Luck with getting things together. I do have to say, I wanted nothing to do with going to the mall. I was so afraid I would have someone bump into me, plus I just didn't have the energy to walk that much. You will do fine. Planning ahead is the smart thing to do.
