msbucknut - thanks very much for getting the string of positive posts started on the post-op forum yesterday and thank you also to all those who contributed!!!

I can't reply there as my TAH is scheduled next week, but I wanted to say Thank You! It really helps to hear about good experiences.

Re: Thanks for the positive post started yesterday on the post-op forum

You're welcome! There is no need to be scared ladies. I find that in post-op forums we tend to only write on there when we are experiencing something odd and looking for that support from others - just like in pre-op - to see if anyone else has it, too. It's not that we all are having all these crazy problems. We are all progressing along very well and you girls will be just fine, I am sure of it. Just know most of us are having normal recoveries and moving along at normal paces. I am so sorry if we made you feel uncomfortable in any way, but on the other side, it's all so new to you, too, so it's comforting when someone else can say, oh yeah, I had that, too. Then you don't get worried. If that makes any sense. I know I've posted alot about having this or that and feel overall I have had a very good recovery. We are all just newbies and we all need a little help and reassurance along the way. Pre-op and Post-op. I hope you ladies feel better about what to expect on the other side. It's really not that bad at all. You will be sore, but nothing excruciating. You'll start feeling better in no time. It's nothing we can't handle and all in all it's not that bad at all. You will see. I wish you all the best for successful surgies and quick recoveries!
