Re: the most embarressing quest ever !!!!!
I had the laproscopy so my answer would be yes but get stool softeners, after surgery, this may have just been me, but my body would build up with alot of gas & I felt slightly painful pressuer before I went. I think It would have been easier if I had stool softeners.
Best wishes

Re: the most embarressing quest ever !!!!!
I had a TAH on 2/2 and I had a catheter in until very early on 2/4. The first time I went to the bathroom (not a BM), I couldn't reach the front from the back. After that first time, I didn't have any problem, though.

Re: the most embarressing quest ever !!!!!
I had LSH DaVinci and I can say I had some trouble reaching around. I could do it but had to position myself accordingly since I was sore. It's not as easy as it was before but that got better as the soreness went away and being careful not to pull my incision site.

Re: the most embarressing quest ever !!!!!
I had a TAH Jan 18. The wipe is a bit awkward for the first week or so. I went front to back in front for number one and did two separately. Swelly belly can get in the road. The whole procedure returned to normal for me after a couple of weeks. It is a very good question that you asked as there is twisting involved and I found it best to get the appropriate wipes down separately at first to avoid as much twisting as possible.

Re: the most embarressing quest ever !!!!!
After my TAH, it was uncomfortable to wipe from 'around the corner' the first one or two times....once things actually got moving again!
I think it's a great question - it didn't even dawn on my until I was going through the motion!!
