Bleeding nearly 4 years after TAH

Hiya Girlies

I have come back to Hystersisters for a little reassurance.

I was just happily doing my farm-ville on Face-book this evening when I felt all I can describe like a bubble (like the first day that you have your period), and also a twinge. I then felt wet down below and sheepishly went to the bathroom.

I was horrified when I found I had bled all over my knickers, Pyjamas and even on to my chair. It was a really really blood red.
It has really scared me. I had my hysterectomy 4 years ago (in May) had a rough time of it with the hormones, Im 37 (yesterday) and went through the grieving stage alittle bit.

I have an appointment at the docs on Monday, but after talking to my mum she has phoned me back up and said that "after reading on the internet, that it can be serious!!" Gzzzz thanks Mum..

I was wondering if any of you lovely ladies has experienced anything like this..

Thank You

Caroline x

Caroline, I horrified just reading your post, I can't imagine how you much feel! Has the bleeding stopped? Would you please post what your dr says after you see him? Sending you lots and lots of hugs!

Sorry you are going through this now, but if you're still bleeding I agree with your Mom. I wouldn't want to wait unless your doctor has said it's okay to wait. I'm sure your mom is just concerned about you. I hope all is well. Please let us know. HUGS!

Re: Bleeding nearly 4 years after TAH

Quick Update

I went to see my doctor today, he gave me an internal and said that the Vaginal Cuff looked a bit dead????
Great!!

SO now waiting to have another scan, have also not been going for a pee as often as I should have, I have to remind myself that i havent been and dont get the " Gzzzz I need the loo right now" feeling.
That seemed to be the decider and he said that gave him some warning bells that needed checking as soon as possible!

So here we go again..... dont know if I can go through all this again,, feel so down and alone right now....

Re: Bleeding nearly 4 years after TAH

Cazzy,
So sorry you are having problems, but glad you went to the doctor. At least you have an idea of what you're dealing with to some degree. Happy belated birthday, BTW. I missed that the first time I read your original post. I know you might not feel much like celebrating, but my Mom always says "at least if I'm getting older I know I'm still here."

Lots of HUGS! You will get through this, too and please come back and keep us updated.
