Need cystocele repair

Last month I went to the Dr. for my 6 month post-op and we were both so distracted with my issues of painful sex (which has not resolved) that my cycstocele was sort of overlooked. So of course once I realized this I tried to reschedule right away but the Dr. was out of the country doing charity work this month! So anyhow I went in today which is his first day back and got the answer I knew was coming which was that yes in fact my bladder has prolapsed quite a bit and he wants to do surgery. I am more than happy to do that if it means I stop peeing my pants when I cough, sneeze, jump, etc. I'm tired of wearing a pad all the time and I don't even have a period no more. Anyhow Friday I'm getting an ultrasound to check for ovarian cysts and getting a PVR to see if I am emptying my bladder all the way, which I don't think I am. Because of work policies I have to give a 30 day notice since it's not technically an emergency, so hopefully we can set a surgery date for the first week of April. He said he will make an incision at the bikini line b/c he feels that will get me the best lasting result.

Did all go well with your ultrasound? Hope things go smoothly for you. Some argue that the abdominal procedures are less risky. Others think differently. It just depends on the attitude of your particular doctor. You must have confidence in your doctor.
