Menopause and migraines

I am almost one year post-op and I am having migraines again. I have had them for years (since I was 11) and after my TVH/BSO, they stopped and I did not have one at all for 10 1/2 months. Now they are back with a vengence! I have had a migraine for over a month now and cannot get the pain to break. I have talked to my DR and all he wants to do are triptan type medications, but I can't take them because of my blood pressure. The last time I gave in and took a half dose, I had such bad chest pain that I went to the ER thinking I was going to die. I am 31 and my family has a long history of heart issues. My sister had a heart attack at the age of 29 and my father at age 38. I guess I am just wondering if the migraines could be from my body adjusting to no hormones anymore. My DR said that I would probably never have another one because they have always told me they were related to my cycle.

If anyone has any tips or advise I would be grateful for eternity if you would share it.

Hope all of my sisters are doing well.
