Bladder sling pain, months later?

I had a hysterectomy and a bladder sling last summer. This past week I keep getting pain in the area I think is where the sling is.
Has anyone had trouble months after surgery? Its not bad but a throbbing that is really getting to me.
The pain is above my pubic bone on my right side. Could that be the sling?

Re: Bladder sling pain, months later?

Hi, I had a TVT sling put in on Oct 09....There are times when I feel a gnawing feeling where you are talking about. I don't know if it is a spasm or not. Mine is actually in the center, but it makes me want to rip it out. It comes and goes. Since it has been 5 months, I am assuming things are still healing. I go to my Dr. March 8, I will ask. Can I ask how you are doing otherwise. I developed an overactive bladder after surgery. It has been horrible with the urgency and frequency until I started Enablex about 1 1/2 months ago. Things have gotten better, still not 100%...

Re: Bladder sling pain, months later?

Everything is fine. The bladder sling has definetly stopped the leaking when sneezing, coughing etc. I still get the pressure feeling. I was hoping it was the fibroids causing it. But still get that feeling like I have to go alot. I told my dr but she didn't seem concerned.

Other then that everything seems fine. except that spasam type feeling.
