Re: TAH/BSO surgery

Why are you on soft foods? I was on a regular diet the day after surgery.

That's funny - All this time, I thought it meant "both side ovaries".

Re: TAH/BSO surgery

I wore my binder home from the hospital. And I was allowed to have a regular diet, maybe they want to "keep things moving."

Re: TAH/BSO surgery

I had a TAH/BSO & I woke up in recovery in an abdominal binder. They did put a large maxi pad between the binder & my incision.

If you use the binder & it hurts your incision try the maxi pad. I wore the binder the first 2 weeks non stop.

I was on a regular diet as soon as I went home.

Re: TAH/BSO surgery

I had a TAH-BSO on the 24th. Regular diet since the day after surgery. I asked for an abdominal binder and got one 48 hours after the surgery. They waited until after the catheter was taken out, and I was up walking more. I've been wearing it ever since. Helps me get up and down from the couch and bed.

Re: TAH/BSO surgery

I also had a TAH and woke up with a binder on...only take it off to shower and readjust it.

I dont like the feeling with out it... inside feels all loose and wiggling...lol.

About the diet they had me on a regular diet right after my first tray of clear liquids.
