Did I Make the Right Decision?

I am 4 weeks post op from a LSH, and I have my good days and my bad.

I have two beautiful, healthy boys (5 years old and 10 months old), and I am SO thankful and truly blessed to have them.

My husband and I made the decision for the LSH after a very long, hard battle with endometriosis, including 9 laps and countless medications. After the LSH, my doctor said it was the best decision because of the amount of AM and ENDO that he found in the uterine muscles.

All of that said, I have been questioning my decision--did I do the right thing? I am a mom, and I can't help but watch the baby shows on TV, see newborns at the store, etc., without thinking, "I can NEVER do that again! What did I do"? Does anyone else feel this way? Will I ever be at peace with my decision?

Re: Did I Make the Right Decision?

Your feelings are definitely normal. If it improves your health and over all well being, then you made the right decision.

You must give yourself time to heal. All these emotions are normal. I am sending you lots of hugs!

Re: Did I Make the Right Decision?

I have those same feelings and My DH and I had already decided we were done having kids... I think it is normal to second guess any major decision. We are blessed to have our kids and just imagine, when we are all healed up, how great it will be to not have to deal with all the pain, doc visits, etc.. We will have a better quality of life for us and our families. ((HUGS))
