Tummy pain

I am 4 1/2 weeks post op and have been getting "out there" a little with a grocery trip, a trip for coffee with a friend, took a walk up the street yesterday, and today I cleaned our two bathrooms. I haven't noticed much pain unti yesterday and today. Could I have hurt myself or is it normal to have pain at this stage with increased activity? I wish I had done more walking outside before now, but it was just too cold.

Re: Tummy pain

Thanks Kimmme! It really helps to know that it's nothing to worry about. I find that I'm experimenting right now, and one day I did a bigger grocery shop than I was supposed to among other errands and then yesterday I couldn't get off the couch, and then today I'm up and doing...but the tummpy pains inside had me a little worried. Thanks for the encouragement!

Re: Tummy pain

I have felt much the same way. I didn't have to take pain meds for nearly two weeks, but on my first tiny driving experience last week, I clenched up and was so stressed throughout that the next day, my tummy felt like it had been pummeled. I took a Motrin.

I find that if I overdo it during the day, my swelly belly is worse at night. The best thing you can do is just pay attention to what your body is saying, and go slowly. I have certainly come to understand that this takes way more time than I was at first thinking.
