vivelle patch and side effects

Hi I am just over a week post op~ Total hysterectomy

I had the estradiol .1 patch in the hospital and it seemed to work but only for about 4 days. I had some anxiety on it as well.

So when I saw my doctor yesterday she gave me samples of the vivelle dot .1 to take 2x a week.

I've noticed some increased anxiety and a low grade headache that is being stubborn about going away this morning.
I've always been headache and migraine prone for over 20+ years.

I'm just wondering how long is best to give the meds a try and see if the side effects lessen. I feel pretty good otherwise.

I know I"m early in the process but would appreciate some feedback.

You are still very early post op. It is not unusual to have symptoms, even whilst using ert. Your body is recoverying from the stress from surgery and using up its stored reserves of hormones. The fluctuations can cause symptoms.

My suggestion is to give it some time, keeping a journal of your symptoms along the way.

I willl start a journal today and keep track of things, great advice.

Yesterday when I was at the doctor they asked if I had
had any hot flashes and of course I hadn't but then today
I've noticed them off and on all afternoon.
