Re: two week check-up

The only thing my doctor did at the two week post-op was check the incision and answer some questions and he told me he would do an internal exam in 10 weeks!!! I figure it would be 6weeks but apparently he does it at the 12week mark! Of course he made it clear that if i was having any issues to make the call to the office..

Hope this helps a bit and heres hoping you get a good report!!

Re: two week check-up

Same with me - my doctor just checked my incisions and answered questions. He will do the internal exam in eight weeks, which will be the 10 week mark for me.

Re: two week check-up

My 2 week was basic urine, weight and bp. He checked my incisions and answered questions, ok to drive and shop (no heavy lifting, vacuuming and exercise).

Re: two week check-up

Thanks for the information ladies but my was not that simple. He did urine,bp and yes he did an internal and it hurt badly. He pushed on my stomach and it hurt so bad I thought I was going to throw up.I had TAH on 3/3/10 and I also though he won't do an exam this quick. My hubby said heck if he's inserting fingers and speculum why we have to wait for sex.

Re: two week check-up

Interesting how all these Doctors are different. I had a TAH and at my one week check up I didn't even see the Dr. - just the physician's assistant and she asked me questions, checked the incision and took off the steri strips. That was it. I have my 6 wk. post op in a little over a week and expect to be checked internally then. We'll see.....
