Still hurting

Hi,
I had my a hysterectomy done in '05 and then just had a huge cyst, endometriosis, scar tissue and both ovaries removed in Feb '10. i'm still experiencing alot of pain 3 weeks after surgery and my gyno says this is not normal. I don't know why I'm hurting so much and had a CAT scan. They said I had alot of inflamation and everything else seemed ok. I'm hoping this goes away and it does seem to slowly be getting better but very slowly. Did anyone else have a slow recovery after having this type of surgery?
Thanks,
Holly

Re: Still hurting

Holly,
I'm sorry you're having a difficult recovery. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. I know since my hysterectomy, my body is very slow to heal and as I get older I have found that recovery takes longer.

I hope you're feeling better soon.
