Heart palpitations and Short of breath.

Hi Ladies,
I am not feeling so well these last three days and I wonder if you could help. I keep having these episodes that make me feel like I am short of breath. Occasionally I can also feel heart palpitations.
I think that my increase in exercise is making my estrogen levels a little low or high...not sure which and I cannot find that article. Any of you feel like this ever, and what do you do?
I work in health care and have run a set of vitals on myself, My oxygen level and heart rate are truly within normal limits, I just don't feel like they are...

If you have recently started exercising, you could be using up your estrogen faster. You may need to increase now that you are more active.

I had this experience...I exercised for 10 weeks and my estrogen dropped fast.

I wish there was some table that would help us to know how much to add for how much we exercise, etc....such a guessing game.

lemon34: Yes, I also have been feeling short of breath. I assume mine is related to inactivity due to being 5 wks. post op TAH (ovaries intact). <edited to conform to website TOS> Estrogen Dominance and Progesterone deficiency can cause heart palpitations, but also hyperthyroidism can cause palpitations & shortness of breath. What I really would suggest is go to your doctor to have your thyroid level checked as well as your estrogen, progesterone, and anything else that may be of help to determine exactly what is the cause of your symptoms. You are right...it is no fun to play the "guessing game." Hormones are balanced through trial and error and can take some work at first but knowing what is lacking and what isn't will be a good start. I have had hypothyroidism for years and take a thyroid replacement everyday. I myself will go soon to recheck my thyroid and hormone levels. Good luck to you!
