LAVH, BSO on 3/18...was doing fine but today is just *blah*
I don't know if I'm just tired or what, but I literally have not gotten out of bed today and its almost 2 in the afternoon, kids will be home soon...and I need to AT LEAST transfer to the recliner in the living room. Instead, I've avoided all phone calls and curled up in bed watching reruns of NCIS on USA...My head is killing me, but I get headaches anyway...its not that I'm in pain...i'm just..blah..just kinda don't want to talk to anyone or do anything...I'm on HRT, (.1 Vivelle Dot) and i guess i'm just confused...although I don't even know why I'm confused because EVERYONE said "you'll be tired, etc.." - what's wrong?
Am I just recovering? Just whining? ughhh...someone smack me with a 'getover yourself/stopy worrying" stick.
And I'm sorry for the incredibly whiney post - I was just hoping this was somewhere I could not say this and not sound like I had nothing better to do than talk about me...
I do have to say I'm incredibly happy with the procedure itself, and the pain management..only issue was the gas after the procedure which is slowly but surely getting better...other than that, my husband keeps saying he is amazed I am doing so well... really don't have anything to complain about..

I had my TAH a day after you. I've been pretty good getting up taking shower everyday and putting on clean jammies, however today I'm still in my jammies and haven't bothered with a shower. From what I understand, some days are going to be like that. We had major surgery, so give yourself some time to relax and heal. It hasn't been a week yet for you, let alone 6-8 weeks. Take care of yourself and just rest. We have the rest of our lives to be active and wait on everyone else.

Re: LAVH, BSO on 3/18...was doing fine but today is just *blah*
It can be confusing to the head and body when your used to being on the go which sounds like you usually are. I am 3 weeks post-op and had so much energy at two it was like the old me was back but now this week I have been in bed almost all day everyday!? Its recovery and get ready because you will have up's and down's. I have decided that I will not have the opportunity again to rest as I should and let my family take care of me and the chores etc. So stay in your PJ.'s as long as possible and allow yourself the time needed to heal...who says you have to get up after all the doctor did say 4-6 weeks right ?
