Bowel Prep Question

I was told at pre-op I need to drink two bottles of magnesium citrate the day before my surgery. So many people have talked about how bad this stuff tastes! Can anyone please tell me if there is something I can do to mask it to make it go down easier? Can it be mixed with something else? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi Lizzy--make sure you put it in fridge and drink it cold that helped me and also hold breath and drink as much as you can at a time--that seemed to help me alot and it went down fast

Hi Liz, I completely agree with Clare. The colder the better!!!! I had a lemon-lime flavored MC---I don't know if they come in other flavors or if it can be mixed. I would take big swigs of the MC and then a swig of lemonade. It wasn't that bad.

LOL Something else that I did...and I think it helped--maybe just mentally LOL I posted a picture of the bottle next to a shot glass on my FB and all my friends had good wishes for me. And we all got a laugh in the process.
