Abscess after TVH 3-8-10

Hi! I could really use some advice/wisdom/opinions on this: Dr. thinks I have an abscess due to some firmness she felt during 2 week check up. Prescribed Flagyl which I took for 2 days but have had headaches and anxiety attacks (which I haven't had before.) Now she is switching over to Clindamycin. I am totally freaking out because I have read horrible things about the side effects of that drug too. Anyone have experience with this? Thank you so much.

Clindamyacin is safer than Flagyl,, in my opinion. I'm allergic to a few antibiotics! Just had a scare on Tuesday with an antibiotic wrongly prescribed after finding out I have a bladder infection. I'm on Bactrim now and I'm doing well with it.

Have you started taking it yet? You'll know if you're going to have an adverse reaction around 45 minutes. If you do, just call the ambulance. They have the shots to reverse an allergic reaction on their rig. Stops it immediately!

As much as we dislike antibiotics, sometimes we need 'em no matter how we feel about 'em.... Kind of like some in-laws!!
