tired of bleeding everyday and sex makes it worse

I haven't stopped bleeding from my d & c over 2 weeks ago infact it hasn't even slowed down... On top of that I was bleeding before my d & c for the week before the d & c and then only 5 days of no bleeding for the 4 weeks before that 5 day break.
ON top of that if I try to have sex at all with the love of my life the bleeding gets extremely heavy with large clots for quite a few hours afterward. Is this normal??
I see the oncology/gyn April 14th. I already saw my reg gyn about 6 days post d & c but bleeding just never stops. I can't stand the smell anymore either. I just want my sex life back. Sex in the shower is our only clean solution and it isn't the most comfortable place to make love every time.

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions. I just want to send you a ((((((((HUG))))))))). I know how it is to have an awful sex life due to female problems. Hopefully, another sister will come along with some advice.

I'm sorry that you are having such a rough time of it! No, I would not consider that normal to have bleeding like that after a D&C. I'm glad you have an appointment in April. As for what is causing the bleeding....that is where your doctors will have to play detective. I had a D&C last summer and it did NOT slow down my bleeding issues. They also tried to do an ablation procedure at the same time but could not because the machine wouldn't activate because my uterus was too enlarged (from adenomyosis). I wasn't bleeding constantly, but my periods were just as heavy if not even heavier after the D&C.. It ended up being adenomyosis that was causing the problem for me. I also had fibroids, but they weren't large. Sex was not fun, in fact it was painful. For me, the best solution was a hysterectomy and I'm pain free and sex is SO much better now. Just a comment, when I had a D/C I was not allowed to have anything in the vagina for 2 weeks. If you are only two weeks post-op, you probably should not be having sex yet, as it could cause an infection.

Hopefully you can get some relief soon. I know what you mean about the sex in the shower... Only a week till my surgery and then hopefully I can recover and we can get back to a normal sex life!

we didn't till 2 weeks post op but tried Friday and Saturday and the bleeding got horrific again. I really just wish I would get a break from it already.
At this point... I couldn't even tell you if I get a period and then it actually stops and I ovulate again and get another one because I just bleed everyday like a 1day period and sometimes worse. I have short cycles so I don't even know but I feel like I am still going through PMS and everything throughout the month but my actual bleeding just goes on and on.

i did that too after my d&c last year. with the bleeding before, the bleeding after and then another period, i had a 5-6 week period, plus i got an infection from the surgery that when that was finally treated the horrible smell & discharge went away. see if you can get some antibiotics from your dr.

You can try charting your cycles to see if you are actually ovulating or not, it might help you out.

I also recall not being allowed to do anything until the bleeding stopped, so I'd definitly hold off until that is done.
