Monday March 29
Hi All!
It's a beautiful sunny day here, and they're promising some truly warm weather...our first since last fall. I'm officially putting the spring wreath on the front door today, and I'm thinking about washing windows and putting screens in. I may be jumping the gun a little...everyone is saying to expect one more zinger (s**w) before the end of April. Pessimists. LOL
At the risk of boring you, I'll list my food again today. I really eat the same things everyday and switch it up for dinner. The only thing I had to change was the order I eat in the morning. So...
Breakfast...toast and pb with skim milk
Snack...1/2 banana
lunch...2 slices whole grain bread, turkey breast, one slice of cheese and freebie veggies, skim milk
snack...6 Triscuits with 2 T of guacamole
Dinner...chicken breast (brushed with olive oil, dipped in seasoned bread crumbs and baked...topped with a little Farmer cheese at the end), 1/2 baked potato with Butter buds and broccoli
Snack...Cheerios with skim milk
Did I mention? I get to have 3 hard candies/day. I can't eat them all at the same time (unless I'm feeling hypoglycemic) Life is good.
I exercised today. Just a MODERATE (new favorite word) 20 minute mile with Leslie Sanson. I checked my blood sugar before and after and it definitely dropped. I see the error of my ways...for sure!
I'm praying that I can keep my head on straight...really.
Have a GREAT day all,
PJ

Re: Monday March 29
Hi PJ
Sorry to be so late. But just now have time to post. I tried counting my carbs as well as calories today. I was sooooo uncomfortable last night in my jeans. It's a shame. I've got to do something.
Then the scale was back up this a.m. I just have to get my act in gear.
I did some research PJ and according to several website calculators I'm to have no more than 235 g of carbs and total calorie intake of 1524 to meet my wt loss goal. So I gave it the old college try.
Bkft: 1 egg, 1 slice bacon, toast, 1 orange, coffee
Lunch: salad dressing, cheese chunk & cubed roast beef, rasins (made a chef salad)
Dinner: chicken, piece of itallian sausage, spaghetti, asian mix veggies
Snack: raw veggies, peanut butter, 1 oz cheese cube.
When I added it all up came to 104 Carbs and 1144 calories. Obviously need to do some tweeking to increase the good carbs. The calories are OK considering I'm supposed to really concentrate on my protein intake due to the GB surgery. But inspite a "tight head" and the feeling of being "empty" and wanting to hurt someone I guess I'm doing alright.
Night all - I'll be in late again tomorrow - running from early a.m. till after lunch.
M.
