My LSH Story

First of the way i made my decision to have my LSH was, I was having alot of cramps like menstrual cramps. Went to my ob-gyn that i was using told him about the cramps i was having and he got smart with me and told me he didn't deal with that type of stuff. So i went back to my old doctor that delivered my first child and i told him what was going on he said let me see what is going so he did a ultrasound come to find out i uterine firoids and a cyst the size of a golf ball. The nurse at my new doctor office gave me a broucher of the minamally Vasive Surgeries for a hysterectomy and that is how i made my decision to have the surgery on December 7, 2009. Second, during the first few weeks of my recovery after my surgery i was very emotional and was having shortness of breath. A couple of days after my surgery i had to go to the Er for the shortness of breath i found out that my D-Dimer was high, they Er doctor told me i had a blood clot somewheres and they couldn't find out where. I thought the hot flashes would be bad i haven't had any problems with hot flashes. I am glad that i've found hystersister.com it has helped me out with questions i had before and after my surgery. I would recommend this site to other women that are thinking about having a hysterectomy.
