Bladder Lesions from Adhesions?

Good morning ladies, glad to hear most are doing well in their recovery. I would appreciate your input on the following:

I had an appointment with the urologist yesterday. There's a lesion on my bladder and because of the cancer and long history of kidney stones/bladder infections/kidney surgeries, it needs to be checked out. I had a davinci robotic hysterectomy on 3-26 with cervix, uterus and ovaries removed (endometrial cancer). Before they could do the hysterectomy they had to "unstick" my organs (surgery lasted 4 hours). Had 2 previous C sections that caused adhesions and everything was stuck together. They think the lesion on my bladder might be from pulling organs apart. Also, early CT scan showed a stone in my uterus so need another CT scan to see if it's passed. Next step, biopsy of bladder lesion and basketing procedure to remove ureter stone if still there.

Question: has anyone else had their organs stuck together due to adhesions and after having them pulled apart had a red spot/lesion on one of the organs? What was done? Thanks for your help.

Re: Bladder Lesions from Adhesions?

I have had adhesions a plenty! Lesions can heal on their own or sometimes need some help. If the sore develops "granulated" tissue then the tissue has to be removed because it won't heal any further. Sometime the area can be cauterized and that can work.

I am sorry you are having to go through so much.

I hope you have a quick turn around to being healthy and active.

Hugs.

Tinkle
Thanks for your input. It does shed some light on things. What is granulated tissue?

Thanks.

Re: Bladder Lesions from Adhesions?

Well the best way I can describe it is like this:

If you have ever scraped your knee on concrete, you know how your skin is rough and torn as the top layer(s) of skin have been removed. Granulated tissue is rough and grainy like that but it is unable to heal.

I have had it on several types of tissue. I have had lesions in my colon. They were not granulated but were ulcerated. Ulcers are more like the sore you can get in your mouth if you bite your cheek.

I have had both types of wounds cauterized with some successes.

I hope you find a healing process that is the least invasive.

You have been through more than enough!

Hugs.
