how long should i be sore/spotting after cervical biopsy?

i plan on asking the doctor's office whenever they call this week with my results, but thought i'd check in here.

i had a cervical biopsy last monday. was fine by tuesday, no spotting or cramps or anything.

thursday or friday i started spotting - almost a light period - and i've had a general sense of unease/discomfort all weekend. i'm not cramping or in pain, per se, just not 'right'. it hurts to bend over too much. my whole lower abdomen, sometimes into the small of my back, is just ouchie. i don't know how to describe the sensation. grr.

anyways, how long is it 'normal' to feel discomfort and have spotting from a biopsy? (i'm 4mos post-op, LSH, kept cervix and ovaries)

Hi (((hoolahoopchick)))

I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I see you're falling with no reply so hope my bump will give you another chance to be seen by someone who has had this experience.

Just my thought, but I would call and ask the dr about this. It seems a little strange to me that you were fine and then a few days later developed the discomfort you're having now. Please let us know what your dr has to say. I hope you'll be feeling better soon.
