surgical menopause symptoms

Does anyone out there get lots of chest pressure with a headache and the feeling of not getting enough air plus hot flash when you're estrogen gets low. I get it everytime when it's time to change my patch and it gets better after I put a new one on. Just wondering if this is a common thing. It's kind a scary sometimes. I don't see the OB/GYN for another 3 weeks for my check up so just hoping for some feedback. Thanks

I have the same problems when i have to change my patch. you may have to up your dose but its still early for us...hope the doc helps out. i would love to know what he tell you, please let me know!

not on patch , but had exactly the same simptoms when i came round from procedure. Turned out to be pain meds morhine..........Dont know if your talkin any pain meds,or if this helps at all . had TAH tubes n ovarysremoved 26 days post op today. good luck ,keep us postedxxxxxxx (forgot to say simptoms lasted days before staff worked out what it was )

I change my patch a bit earlier than what they say...

Thanks for your input, i am not on any meds at all since the surgery except for the patch. I was changing my patch early but that's not working anymore, I was told to add another half of a patch with my regular patch and see if that makes a difference. So I think I may need more. I just put a patch on on monday and tuesday was hell. I had migraine, extreme nausea, chest pressure and felt really hot so I went to bed really early. Up most of the night with heart palpitations between 150-180 BPM and not feeling good. Put a new patch and 1/2 on today, feeling a bit better.

Lavh, I forgot to ask if your doctor said anything about estrogen creating problems with endo. Mine thinks he got it all and that it's not an issue but sometimes I still wonder about the long term effects if he didn't.

I have opted not to do HRT and have started taking extra calcuim and vitamin D. My gyn suggested a soy supplement for the hot flashes. I'm doing pretty good with this mixture. I have scheduled an appt. with regular doctor to get my blood levels check. But overall so far so good on my own.

I am using extra calcium and vit D but it's not helping the heart palpitations, blood pressure and migraines/nausea. Only the Estradot seems too alleviate some of it but I definitely need dose adjustments.
