Should your rub your incisions?

So I had a TLH. I have small incisions, 1 larger incision and an incision in the belly button (4 total).

I noticed that the skin is a bit tough in one spot, almost like a little lump is underneath it.

I rember having something similar when I had a knee surgery (also scope) and the doc told me to massage it out to break up scar tissue.

Should I do the same for this stomach incision? Or just leave it be?

Re: Should your rub your incisions?

I feel something similar under my left cut but I don't think it should be rubbed on - that's just an intuitive feeling - seems like it could do harm. Maybe you should call and ask your doctor.
