Brighter days anticipated...

Oh my goodness! I've just read about one of you ladies post-SAH having what sounds like my dream day... lots of energy, swimming, travelling, fun with friends, dancing again.... I've been living with flooding and lack of energy, motivation etc for 6 years now.. [multiple fibroids, 20-week whatever-it's-called uterus size] SAH due 12th May 2010. Tried Mirena coil, mini pill, acupuncture, chinese medicine, reiki, kinesiology, reflexology, you name it.... then finally MRgFUS in Dec '08. Alas, this didn't work for me. I'm now experiencing what I hope is my last heavy bleed and am SO looking forward to my op!!! I know there'll be pain, discomfort etc... but not for 5 years +!! I can handle a few weeks or months if it means the light is switched back on in the tunnel Thank you for these rays of hope. Much love, M x

Re: Brighter days anticipated...

That is a wonderful thing, isn't it? I am planning a trip to Disney World in December with my husband (we never grew up) and he reminded me we would definitely be able to go swimming or soak in the hot tub anytime we want while we're there because there would be no danger of me having my period. I burst into happy tears of relief. So many trips have been dampened by pain, fatigue or heavy periods...this one will be the best ever!

Best of luck to everyone anticipating those brighter days! I hope we all have an abundance of them!
