Date Scheduled

Had my dr appt. today to schedule TAH. I believe it is called TAH even though she will leave the ovaries if they look good. Doing a vertical incision as one of my fibroids is up to my belly button. Don't wear bikinis anyway. I guess I have to go out and get some bigger sweats! So glad my GYN is also my surgeon!

I don't have to do the enema. I can eat the day before.

It feels like this is happening to someone else. Reality check today as we booked my time with the hospital. How am I going to get any sleep the night before my big day?

Sure wish this was over and done with but darn glad it's getting done. My fibroids have been gestating for 6 or so years - waiting for menopause to happen. 53 and still having regular periods. Hey, I just had a thought, I've had my last period already! Bought some diff size pads in case I bleed for a while.

Am I going to say stupid things while I am loopy? I am a chatty person.....dah.

Funny thing, my family has always nicknamed me sister blister. So I told them sister blister will be a hyster sister soon! Thanks for letting me vent. I am 11 days away and counting..........! I guess my babbling means I'm nervous?

Hi, yes it is a TAH, taking the ovaries is an oopherectomy ( quite a word there ).
I felt a little "out of sort" at first too. It started getting real after my date was set

Yay on no bowel prep and getting to eat!

I don't know if you'll say anything loopy I mostly slept!
