Blood Clot and string in urine in Catheter, Help?

This week is my 7th week post-LAVH. I've been catheterzied for six weeks with the fistula. I've had incision pains for two days, while Sunday I felt great. Then today I went into the loo to empty my canal and a blood clot and a string of blood went into my catheter.

Has anyone experienced this? I called my nurse and left a message. Help with any input. Is this normal for this situation?

I did have a catheter for 4 weeks and yes, I did have this happen and it freaked me out! They did say a SMALL amount of blood is normal. My bladder was just so irritated, and I'm sure yours is too.

HOWEVER, I also developed a low grade fever and had a back ache and just didn't feel well.. it ended up I had a bladder and kidney infection, so just call, get checked to be on the safe side.
