When Did You Shave Your Pubic Area??

Good Evening Sisters,

I was wondering when it was okay to shave my Hoo Haa? It is looking rather scraggly to say the least. Yes, I have trimmed the bikini area but I have NOT touched the razor on my bikini tah incision... It is still numb and I am really scared I might cut it... just thinking about it makes me shiver

Thanks for any and all replies.. I am dying to get my hoo haa looking like HER old self as I begin to feel like MY old self too... Just want the two to match

Have a good weekend!

~*hugs*~

Re: When Did You Shave Your Pubic Area??

Matilda... I dont think shaving this soon in your recovery is actually a good idea. Infections! I'm soo scared of infections.

Some surgeons say "NO shaving or we will cancel surgery.. due to infection risk.." So, I haven't shaved near the incision area.. and its been months! Im also afraid that if I do have a successful shave where the incision is, that the hair growing back will only aggravate the incision further! Is this true?

can anyone tell me when they finally shaved over their incision line safely and if the hair growing back caused any discomfort? And when you shave do you follow the incision line side to side or go over up and down as you normally did pre surgery? I am not going to shave it til' someone assures me that its okay. Help! LoL

Thanks!

Re: When Did You Shave Your Pubic Area??

Hey Tyg....

Have you heard of the Schick Trim Style razor, it has a regular razor blade razor on one end and a mini clipper style razor on the other (the kind they use to do "buzz" cuts at the barber) I used it prior to and since my surgery and love it! you can trim as close as you want or just a little trim if you use the guard.

Hope this helps!

Re: When Did You Shave Your Pubic Area??

I went to the beautician and had a wax at four weeks post op, she just didn't wax over the cut and tweezered those hairs close to the incision but my incision is right at the top of my 'hair line' so their wasn't much near the incision.

I went and had a wax before surgery because it lasts longer than shaving.
