Doctor's appointment update (NO UTI)

I just got back from my 3 weeks appointment.
I was sure I had a bladder infection or UTI but nope, doctor says everything is healing properly, that the bladder pain is due to need to urinate often and that is just my system flushing the meds for pain.

I told him how frustrated I am to still be in so much pain and no energy at all but he just asked me: What part o MAJOR SURGERY I did not understand?

He said I need to respect my body recovery speed, do a couple of 15 minutes walk a day, increase the water intake and use any medication to help me stay regular, MOM or Colace and in case the stools got harder use suppositories since the one thing I must avoid is straining otherwise I will be a serious candidate for a hernia.

He told me I should wait two weeks to resume sex, which is less a week than the previous 6 he mentioned pre op. He said the healing inside looks good enough and two weeks it will perfectly fine to enjoy sex( told me to try to stay on top as it will give me more control and of course if there is any pain just STOP! Bleeding afterwards would be normal, but should not last over 24 hours.

I suppose that is all good news, I only wish I was feeling better!
The pain is still bad and the energy level way bellow my normal.

Wishing you all a speedier recovery!
