How often are you peeing?

Ok. I don't know if this is the fluids talking or if it's something that's normal. But I am peeing an aweful lot! When I laugh, I have to pee, When I cry, I have to pee, When I fart, I have to pee. Seriously! Is this normal? Like I said, I haven't drank this much fluids in my life so I'm not sure if peeing this much is normal or not.

Re: How often are you peeing?

LMAO @ "when I fart I have to pee"...sorry, but that's funny. I'm 13 days post op now, and I'm the same way. I hate water, but that's all I've wanted since surgery. I sometimes have to get up twice at night to go, and I have to go all day. So if you're drinking alot of liquids, I figure it's got to go somewhere. So I would say if you are guzzling alot of water, it's normal, and I wouldn't worry.

Re: How often are you peeing?

Pee pee pee..... I pee a lot now too. Like my bladder wasn't small enough to begin with, now it holds like three drops and I feel like I am going to explode.
I have to pee just because I thought about peeing, Ashley!!! haha

Re: How often are you peeing?

Just be careful it isn't a UTI. I was peeing a lot more, and had some pain in my bladder. No burning or anything like that and though I was just adjusting after surgery. Turns out I had a massive UTI. 24 horus on meds and I turned into a new woman!

Re: How often are you peeing?

I hear you on the peeing. Now I do have some problems with my bladder and we knew this prior to my TAH/ASC and was hoping the surgery would fix it but nope. I am going super small amounts and about 3-4 times if not more per hour during the day and up several times during the night. I ALWAYS have the urge to go,even if I just went. I have been trying to retrain my bladder but that is so hard esp when I want to pee myself trying to hold it. Guess I better make an earlier appt with the uro/gyn to get working on this problem. Never ends!!

Re: How often are you peeing?

Yup... I'm a pee'er too.. I have been drinking A LOT more water than I used to too.. I just make sure that its still "normal" looking not smelly or dark that would indicate a UTI..

Re: How often are you peeing?

I have the same problem but I was wondering if it maybe had to with my bladder being stuck to my cervix and them having to call in a specialist to remove it.

Did you ladies have your cervix removed as well? Maybe because of the stitches and trauma by the baldder, it causing us to have to go more often? As usual, I hope the nurses can give us an answer

Re: How often are you peeing?

I have to go constantly as well....and it feels differently than it used to when I do go.

It almost feels like the pressure of waking up in the morning and holding it too long.....that is what the pee/bladder pain feels like.

Re: How often are you peeing?

Everyone, please, if you have any symptoms of frequency, pressure, cramping, spasms, or improper emptying, get checked for a UTI. I suffered with these symptoms for a month, assuming I was just adjusting! Even the doc thought it was from my surgery (bladder was adhered to uterus, had a scope, etc.). Turns out I had a major UTI. 24 hours on meds and I'm a new woman! COmpletely fine! Don't suffer or wait it out, go and get tested!

Re: How often are you peeing?

I did get checked for everything, even a UTI...nothing. So for me, the constant peeing is just the result of the wicked thirst I've had since surgery. I even had my doc check me out because of the weird pressure I felt when I did go....she said I'm all fine.

So the potty is now my friend for awhile I guess.
